Pars owner Hossein Nateghpour at the premier of Martha Stewart Rugs.

Pars, the capital of the ancient Persian Empire, where beautiful works of art adorned the floors of king and commoner alike. At Pars Rug Gallery, we believe that every home should have at least one fine rug.

Pars comes from the Farsi for Persia or Persians. Pars Rug Gallery has rightfully claimed its place among the top wholesalers of hand-knotted carpets. Hossein Nateghpour, the owner of the Pars Rug Gallery, started his business in 1987 as a part of the former Weaver's Furniture on Oakland Avenue.

Hossein would like to see a day when every house has at least one fine rug, as is common in his homeland of Iran. Hossein comes from a family with a rug-making background, and grew up with a deep appreciation for this ancient art form. He loves educating customers about rugs and the art and cultural expression of rug-making.

Hossein's extensive travels around the world allow him to return to Bloomington with "treasures from a distance land" and share them with you. Whether in the store or here on the web, Hossein and his staff are dedicated to helping you find the perfect rug to fit your home, taste, and budget.
